Three wounded in East Oakland shooting

Three men were shot Sunday night in East Oakland during an apparent dice game, authorities said.

The three men, two 19 years of age and the other 21, were able to get their own transportation to a hospital and were in stable condition.

The shooting occurred at 9:21 p.m. Sunday in the 3400 blocks Oakland News of 64th Avenue Place in the city’s Millsmont neighborhood.


Police responded to reports of multiple rounds picked up by the city’s ShotSpotter system and found multiple shell casings, blood on the ground and remnants of a dice game, but no victims.

Soon after the three men arrived at an area hospital in a vehicle with various gunshot wounds.

Police have not released a motive yet for the Press Release Distribution Services In Oakland shooting and have not arrested the shooter.
